The Cinematic Landscape is an exhibition of a selection of my most accomplished oil paintings, of fleeting moments I capture like lightening in a bottle, of those places I hold most dear, hidden within this ancient land.
Each painting was lovingly created to evoke the deepest emotions from within… and thus, each will call to you through your own feelings & recollections…
Perhaps you seek that sense of excitement & anticipation as storms roll towards you above glistening valleys that stretch as far as the sea… or you may be drawn to the serene calm of a lazy mid-summer’s day as the sun sets behind a glowing horizon of pastel clouds…

My Journey to Landscape Painting
Growing up in rural Dorset, the countryside soon became both my playground & teacher, and as a young boy I began painting ‘en plein-air’… while my father sat across the field with his own canvas.
It’s hard to imagine now, but I grew up without a television, computer, or smartphone. This gave me a unique lens through which I could explore these deeply emotional landscapes… blending the romantic visions of my vivid imagination with my most incredible experiences of the Theatre of Nature.
I have dedicated my life to creating these paintings, through countless hours… so I am now so happy to share them with you!
