Commissioning a painting is really an invitation to bring the beauty of Nature into your home in a way that feels uniquely personal & deeply meaningful.
My role as the Artist is to seek out fleeting moments of light & landscape and to capture the essence of a place - moments that resonate universally while speaking directly to you.
The Commission Process
A painting commission starts with an email. Just send me an Enquiry and we can start a conversation, during which we’ll explore the paintings in my portfolio that resonate most with you, discuss the moods and atmospherics that inspire you, and identify the emotions you’d like your artwork to evoke.
From there, I’ll craft a bespoke proposal - one that aligns with your Heart, Spirit, and Soul - and together, we’ll shape a vision for a painting that reflects our shared inspiration.

What I love about creating commissioned artworks is the opportunity it gives me to make the most accomplished painting I’m capable of, with my full commitment to craftsmanship and beauty.
I offer three tiers of commission: Custom, Bespoke and Signature. Each reflects increasing scale, ambition, and reflects the time, intricacy and dedication I can devote to the painting.
1 Custom Commissions - £5,000 to £10,000
Typically, a small to mid-sized painting
A Custom commission offers a beautifully focused approach to creating a personalised painting together, and develops from our conversations about the places, atmospherics, moods and feelings that most inspire you. Through a direct, intuitive and expressive process, I distil our shared vision into a vivid, atmospheric painting filled with immediacy, beauty and life.
2 Bespoke Commissions - £10,000 to £20,000
Typically, a medium to large painting
A Bespoke commission gives our shared vision more room to expand, allowing us to explore the possibilities for subject, atmosphere and feeling in greater depth through a more extensive process of development and refinement. Our shared vision has more time to deepen and unfold - exploring the subtleties of light, colour, atmosphere and feeling - developing and refining the painting over many stages until it becomes a rich, luminous and deeply resolved work of art.
3 Signature Commissions - £20,000 to £50,000
Major individual paintings or a series of connected works
A Signature commission takes our shared vision to its most ambitious level, both in scale and accomplishment, and may encompass one major painting or a series of connected works - exploring a place, atmosphere or idea across several distinct moments.
With an exceptional investment of my time, preparation and sustained studio attention, I can pursue every nuance, layer and moment of light, allowing the work to reach its most intricate, ambitious and extraordinary expression.
* Deposit & payment instalments
Once we have agreed your commission, a deposit secures the project and allows me to begin the painting. The remaining balance is then usually divided into monthly instalments throughout its creation.
4 Landmark Patronage — £50,000 to £100,000+
There is also an additional tier beyond Signature, created for collectors who wish to make a substantial commitment to my highest artistic aspirations: Landmark Patronage might include a monumental individual painting, an extended series of related works, a site-specific installation or an entire exhibition developed around our shared artistic vision.
This level of patronage gives me the freedom to pursue a major project with exceptional scale, ambition and sustained creative dedication. These museum-level undertakings are conceived to make a significant artistic statement - whether entering a major private or institutional collection or being presented as an exhibition - while marking an important chapter in the continuing development of my work.

Designed for 1st-time buyers, emerging collectors, or those seeking a heartfelt gift to mark a special occasion, Custom Commissions allow me to distil the essence of our relationship with the natural world into a painting that’s uniquely yours.
Due to my dedication to maintaining the highest standards, I only take on 2 or 3 Custom Commissions each year. While these paintings require less time than my larger projects, they are created with the same level of care, attention, and craftsmanship that defines all my work.

Because of the patient nature of my painting process, I’m limited to creating just 1 or 2 Bespoke Commissions per year.
