Commissioned Paintings

Attention

Use a HOOK to GRAB their attention!

If you could own any painting in the world, which would you choose? Imagine owning your favorite painting in the world.

Have you ever felt drawn to a landscape that seems to reflect your inner world - evoking memories, emotions, or a quiet sense of belonging?

Have you ever experienced a moment in Nature that you wished you could capture for ever?

Interest

Then, STOKE Their interest with benefits, features, advantages, social proof, excitment, interest, possibilities, hope, desire, expression, love, passion,

Desire

Next, arouse their desire for what I can create for them, what I MIGHT create for them, what I COULD create for them, and perhaps what I WILL create for them.

Help them to IMAGINE that painting in their homes, inspiring them, uplifting them, enlivening them, transforming their home, changing their lives for the better, giving them so much more than they ever expected could be possible!

Action

Then, give them a CALL TO ACTION that appears IRRESISTIBLE to them!

I now have my own Gallery in Bridport, and I also exhibit in London and across the UK. I particularly love to work on private commissions, which allows me to focus on simply making the best paintings I am capable of. I have now been doing this for over 20 years, and thus my paintings are held in private collections around the world.

Hear my story in my own words!

Asserting my influence on Art History

So where do I fit into all this? What place does Art play in the modern world? And what place do I have, as an Artist, in the 21st Century?

One of my great joys is Landscape Painting, and the Landscape Painting Tradition is one that goes back to the 17th century Dutch painters, and then on to the Romantic painters such as JMW Turner, John Constable, and Casper David Friedrich.

150 years ago, the tradition was uprooted by the Impressionists & Post-Impressionists, Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne, and Vincent Van Gogh.

More recently, artists such as Gerhard Richter, Peter Doig, and David Hockney have offered their own, original contemporary insights into how artists see the landscape.

I believe it’s now time for a new language of landscape painting. My original approach integrates everything I’ve learned from Art History, up to the present day, and I’m now presenting a fresh new vision of what art is capable of.
