The Cafe Royal

Framed Prints on Canvas

What is the Cafe Royal?

The Cafe Royal is an old greasy spoon cafe in Bridport that ran from the 1960’s to 2011. It is currently a Domino’s Pizza restaurant.

I used to cycle past it on the way to & from my studio, so I saw it in all weathers & seasons.

I started painting it in 2000 and exhibited it at the Bridport Arts Center, where my first version sold immediately. I then went on to paint many more versions of it, including a number of private commissions.

Over the years I’ve made a number of Prints on Canvas of the Cafe, which have proved popular, so I’m now going to be releasing a new series of them, in a range of 3 sizes:

Small: 70 x 35cm (73 x 38cm framed)

Medium: 30”x15” and Large: 40”x20”
